“1st wound: Wounded whilst next to the Chef de Bataillon (CBA Olivier) on the 30th September 1915 by a piece of shrapnel to the calf, that when through his right calf .

“2nd wound: again from shrapnel to the Achilles tendon on the right leg”

Wounded again 6th September attack at Verdun. Evacuated to Ambulance 12/20 and then to hospital in Dijon until April 1917.

Then moved to Nantes for rehabilitation until moving to depot status on 25th September 1917 and then another hospital stay from 15th Oct to 17th November 1917.
