Daniel Durand

1888 – 1969

Born on the 29th March 1888 at Neauphle le Château. Daniel did his military service from the 8th October 1909 to 24th September 1911 with the 113e Régiment d’Infanterie in Blois.

On the 3rd August was moblised with the 101e Régiment d’Infanterie, before being transferred to the 301e on the 15th September 1914.

On the 12th June 1915, Daniel transferred to the 315e Régiment d’Infanterie where he stayed until 10th December 1917 and where during his time with the 315e he took over 300 photos, which are today still in Daniel family procession with his Grandson, Christian Durand.

When the 315e was dissolved in December 1917 he was then transferred to the 369e, where in October 1918 he earnt a regimental citation:
