Transferred to the 36e RI on the dissolving on the 315e at the beginning of December 1917 and Promoted to Adjt Major of the 36e RI as of the 9th December 1917

Moves to the 265e RI

On the 3rd October he is admitted to hospital in a “flu state” where on 9th October 1918 Ferran dies at Ambulance 14/22 from what is likely to have been the Spanish Flu.
